Two sides

Merry Critmas from the Samurai Snowmen!

Vision: A red-haired girl in a world of darkness and a white-haired boy in a world of light. They are both so wide-eyed I can't help but think of them as children lost in the woods, yet there is also a certain somber sadness to their expressions. Eyes peer at them from everywhere, as if they are being hunted or analyzed.

Originality: I've occasionally seen this kind of mirrored world image before but it looks cool every time. However I'm not sure in this case what is being mirrored; the two children don't contrast in any way that stands out to me, though their worlds do. If they are in different worlds but facing similar circumstances, putting them side by side might fit the theme stronger.

Technique: Beautiful no-line style, the grass and flowers especially. The characters have simple bodies but great hair and faces. They're probably just starting on their adventure and unprepared.

Impact: Despite the difference of light level, both sides feel like they have a strong moody tone which I like. I don't get much emotion from the kids, other than being lost perhaps, and I don't get a strong feeling of the story behind them, other than how they are being watched.
