The colors was a pretty good choise for this kind of painting. But I'm sorry to say that I'm only going to give you bad critic for now on.

The eye is way too big ( or maybye that's a style choise, in that case, my bad ) and you've also put it in a weird angle that makes it look very wrong. The shadowing is clearly done with a tool and not by hand wich makes it look like you've done exactly what you've done tho you've used it in a nice way. I think personally that it looks better when you're shading by hand. The texture of the axe looks really bad.
It does not look like steel. It looks like you tried to fill the whole blade but used a very small brush. He's also standing in a very stiff pose and you've erased on the sides so it looks like he's standing in front of a green screen.

I hope my critic will help and not bring you down cause that is really not the point. Keep draw and forgive my bad english
